Stratus 7 Description
A survey of competition and cross-country pilots showed that, for many pilots, the glide performance and glider handling up to a speed range of about 55 km/h are the most important criteria for a competition wing. According to this survey, only a few pilots tapped the full potential of the maximum speed of over 60 km/h. The development team headed by Michael Hartmann (Swing’s chief designer and test pilot) incorporated these findings when developing the STRATUS 7, and focused on climb performance, lower control pressures and lighter handling.
